Rebecca McCallick Obituary
Born Jan. 5, 1993, she was the daughter of William McCallick, Mountain Top, and Judy Habib Pribula and husband, Tom, of Dorrance Township.
Rebecca was a graduate of St. Jude School and a 2011 honors graduate of Crestwood High School, where she participated in the Relay for Life, chorus, literary magazine and the St. Jude's Youth Group.
She was entering her sophomore year at King's College, where she was a member of the Young Scholars Program and was a dean's list student.
Rebecca was a member of St. Mary's Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance, and was a part-time employee at Wegmans. Rebecca was a ray of sunshine and will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, William McCallick and Sam Habib, and her great-uncle, Mickey Habib.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her sister, Claire McCallick, Dorrance; and grandmothers, Mary McCallick, Wilkes-Barre; and Jean Habib, Mountain Top. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rebecca will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top.
Friends are asked to go directly to the church before the service.
Private interment services will be held following Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

You were the best and closest friend I have ever had, and We both know that. I have and will always love you unconditionally. You always used to say that there was beauty in everything around us but we don't always see it. I have been trying my hardest in these darkest of days to find that beauty and in that I find a little bit of you all around me - peaking through the clouds, dancing yellow butterflies, overbearing sunlight - like when we used to close our eyes and smile at as the sun grazed our faces in the early morning, and of course, sunflowers. And when times are hardest, i take the advice of our favorite post secret "Please find comfort in knowing that Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt." I will do my hardest to keep the beauty love and sunshine you brought to the world through remembered joy. I love you Becca. Rest In Peace.

I received the news of this tragedy online and it was devastating. I'm a fellow employee of Becca's at Wegmans and this pains me more than I can say. Becca was a constant smiling face that radiated positive energy and enthusiasm; she was someone that was truly happy. I only wish I could have told her how much she made my day when I would see her.
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone grieving over this. Heaven is that much brighter with her.
