Richard C. Stuttle, 79, of Nicholson Street, Wilkes-Barre Township, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home.

Born Nov. 1, 1932, in Cortland, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles and Georgianna Finch Stuttle.
Dick worked for United Rehabilitation Services in Wilkes-Barre for 45 years before retiring.
His first wife, Anna May Zaleta Stuttle, died July 13, 2000. A brother, William; and sisters, Betsy, Betty and Dawn, also preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Bernadine Simpson; adopted daughter, Leila Cronauer, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Larry and his wife, Jan Stuttle, Cayuga, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Helen and her husband, Mark Splett, Wilkes-Barre; and Faith Trescott, Wanamie; nieces and nephews; great-and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from McLaughlin's – The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
