Richard (Rick) Triani, 65, of Keystone, died Tuesday morning in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. His wife is the former Mary Jo Gunning.

Born on Oct. 6, 1948 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Dominic and Anita Mancini Triani. He graduated from Plains Memorial High School and was a retired from Heavy Highway and Construction, Local 158. He belonged to Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, Pittston.

He was a member of Keystone Conservation Club, the Perugian Beneficiary Club, Polish American Veterans, the Henry Club, and the American Legion.

Surviving are a sister, Jane Gurdock, Jenkins Township; sisters-in-law, Peggy Faraday, Newton-Ransom, Nancy Gunning, Potomac, Md., Eileen Sgarlet, Pittston, Noreen Szydlowski, Scranton, Catherine Gunning, Pittston, Claire Brennan, Clarks Summit, Colleen Griglock, Clarks Summit, and Rita Gunning, Pittston; a brother-in-law, Joseph Gunning, Green Bay, Wis.; and nieces and nephews, including Christopher and Sabrina Smittey, Ryan Faraday, Lori Maloney, Kelly and Patrick Brennan.

The funeral will be Friday from the Paul F. Leonard Funeral Home, 575 N. Main St., Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, Pittston. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
