Robert A. Ardoline, 80, of Courtdale, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at home after a three-year battle with cancer.

He was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Larksville, the ninth child of Ralph K. and Anna Lawson Ardoline. He was a 1957 graduate of Swoyersville High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Robert delivered Gulf gasoline for Roberts Oil, Luzerne; worked in the Acme Warehouse for 25 years until it closed, and was employed by the Wilkes-Barre Walmart for 10 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Guida Menko, Mary Zuba, Dorothy Elias, June Schesney, Evelyn Cecconi; brothers, Ralph Jr. and Charles.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Kathryn; children, Scott and his wife, Sharon, Wyoming; Jason and his wife, Jackie, Naples, Fla.; Jennifer, Larksville; grandchildren, Courtney, Cole, Connor, Gibson, Layne; great-granddaughter, Emma Grace; sister, Leona Manganella and her husband, Richard; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Homebound Health, Shavertown, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care that allowed Robert to stay at home.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family requests that instead of flowers memorial donations be made to Lands at Hillside Farms, SPCA of Luzerne County, or Blue Chip Animal Refuge, Dallas.
