Robert A. Gregor Sr., 63, of Plains Township passed away Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 8, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, after suffering a heart seizure at home.

Born in the Hudson section of Plains Township, he was the son of the late Clayton and Elizabeth Gregor Neville.

Bob was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1967, and was employed by King Fifth Wheel of Mountain Top as a machinist and by the U.S. Post Office as a postal clerk until his retirement.

He was an avid New York Yankees fan and an avid outdoorsman. He was a former Plains Yankee football coach, and also coached Plains Little League and Plains Teener League baseball. Bob had a special place in his heart for his three grandsons. They were the light of his life and he enjoyed spending every moment with them. Bob also had a special love for his Cocker Spaniel friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeff DeAndrea and Dr. Kevin Carey for their wonderful care of Bob throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Everett.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, the former Diane Wallace; sons, Robert Gregor Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Dallas; and W. Michael Gregor and his wife, Mary, Plains Township; grandsons, Maxwell, Declan and Robert George Gregor; brother, Arthur Neville, and sister, Bernice (Bunny) Neville, both of Ashley.

Funeral services for Bob will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township. Interment will be held in Memorial Shrine Burial Park, Carverton section of Wyoming. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob's memory to Plains Yankee football or to Plains Little League baseball.
