Bob (Pepsi) D. Carlin, 81, of Ashley, died late Wednesday evening, Oct. 24, 2012, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Ashley, he was the son of the late Dennis A. and Edith J. Schacht Carlin and a graduate of Ashley High School, Class of 1949. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Hanover Area School District, Stanton Bowling Lanes, American Tobacco and McGregor Clothing. Pepsi was a member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Parish, Ashley, was a coach for the Ashley/Newtown Little League for more than 40 years, a high school coach for St. Leo's baseball team and assistant coach for St Leo's basketball team.
He was an avid fan of Notre Dame, New York Yankees and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons baseball and loved to go to Artillery Park to watch the games. Pepsi would rather listen to a game on the radio, than watch it on TV.
Bob was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by sister, Violet Fitser; brother, Harry Fitser; and niece, Dorothy Jean Rutkowski.
He is survived by his sister, Louise Fitser; brother, Dennis J. Carlin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday from the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Leo's Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley. The Rev. Thomas J. O'Malley will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
