Robert J. Ostrowski, 81, of Naples, Fla., and Kingston, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 3, 2018.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Robert had been a resident of Kingston, and currently, Naples, Fla. Robert graduated from King's College in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and then served in the U.S. Navy for two years.

In 1960 he joined Bache & Co., which would eventually become Prudential Securities and then Wells Fargo. Robert was highly decorated at Prudential Securities. During his 41-year career of loyal service in the financial industry, he achieved the title of senior vice president-investments and the special honor of 25 years on the prestigious Chairman's Council. A registered Republican, he was appointed by the White House under the Reagan administration as an advisor to the Department of Commerce.

Robert was the son of the late John and Mary Ostrowski of Wilkes-Barre.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, of 55 years, and his brother, Norman Ostrowski, Boynton Beach, Fla. He was the loving and generous father of his three daughters, Susan Ostrowski. Naples, Fla.; Carol Ann Randolph, Bryn Mawr; and Lee Duvall and her spouse, Kevin, Wellesley, Mass. Robert cherished his two grandsons, Jack, 10, and Hunter, 8.

Many of his varied philanthropic activities included The Naples Children and Education Foundation and The Humane Society Naples. He was a member of the Wyoming Valley Country Club, the Westmoreland Club and A charter member of the Huntsville Golf Club.

During his retirement, Robert volunteered with Meals on Wheels for St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Pennsylvania and Florida. Robert also enjoyed playing tennis, living on the beach and he always loved meeting new people. He brought wit and humor to all he met.

In celebration of Robert's life, a Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Naples, Fla.
