Rosemary Kilcullen Kane, 86, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Rosemary was a daughter of the late Dorothy Kline Kilcullen Kingeter and Eugene Kilcullen.

She attended Coughlin High School and was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre.

She was employed for many years in the garment industry and by CVS, Wyoming.

Rosemary got the greatest satisfaction from spending time with those she loved most dearly, her family and friends. She was a longtime participant in the "Card Club;" she was a wonderful hostess and made everyone who entered her home feel welcome. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed making Christmas a special time for the family with her cookies and particular effort to make sure everyone had a wrapped gift under the tree.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Patricia Hahn; sister, Doris Fort; and brother, Eugene Kilcullen.

Surviving are her loving children, Mary Rose Knelly and her husband, John III, Milton; Joseph and his wife, Lisa, Peoria, Ariz.; and Charles and his wife, Mercedes, Weston, Fla.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christine Hahn Proffit, Theresa Hahn, Eugene Hahn, Susan Hahn Lake, Colleen Knelly Franciscus, Shirley Knelly Ocasio, John Knelly IV, Stephanie Kane Didomenico, Joseph Kane, Deanna Kane, Paul Kane, Connor Kane and Conrad Kane; great-grandchildren, Katie Maureen Hahn, Emma Kane, Sarah, Isaiah and Elias Franciscus, Ayanna and Ellah Ocasio, Amaya, Cadence and Liam Knelly and Kenley Rose Lopez; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
