On Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, Roxanne Wolfe Askew Fisher, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 57.

She was born Nov. 18, 1960, and three years later became the daughter of Joseph and Lorraine Lord Allen. She attended the Dallas School District where she graduated from Dallas High School, Class of 1979. She was past president of the Plymouth Eagles Auxiliary and Aerie.

She then served her country as a U.S. Marine from 1981 until 1986. She then worked for Biscontini Transportation until she was no longer able to work. She raised a great amount of money for local charities.

She was married to Joseph Askew on July 13, 1996, until his passing on Nov. 3, 2008. She married Donald Fisher on May 4, 2011, and spent the rest of her days happily with him.

Roxanne was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lorraine; first husband, Joseph; and daughter, Kristen.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, Plymouth; daughter, Brandy and fiance, James, Dallas; sister, Debbie and her husband, Gary, North Carolina; brothers, Jeff and his wife, Debbie, Florida; and Joe and his wife, Barb, Texas; grandchildren, Haylee, Kayla, Evan and Abel, all of Dallas; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kielty-Moran Funeral Home, Inc., 87 Washington Ave., Plymouth.

Special thanks would like to be given to all staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and their hospice unit for their big hearts and gentleness and for making sure Roxanne was comfortable in her last days.
