Sean Joseph (John) Nevolas passed into the arms of his savior on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Born July 16, 1964, son of Robert and Laura (stepmother) Nevolas, John resided in Swoyersville most of his life.

A 1982 graduate of Wyoming Valley West and a member of Local 1319 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, John worked in the electrical construction business up until his illness.

John was dearly loved by those who knew him and was known for his kindness by those who crossed his path.

John was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Edna Kivinski Nevolas, and his fur sweetheart, "Sophie."

Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Olivia Nevolas, West Pittston; sister, Tina Hritzak (Rich), Duryea; nieces, Ashley Nevolas (Zach), Alexandra Hritzak and Emily Romanowski; aunt and uncle, Louise and Frank Nevolas; stepsiblings, Christine Kraynak, Barbara Romanowski and James Matysik; stepniece, Victoria Kraynack; along with many cousins and best friend, Eddie Volack (Mona).

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Daniel Miller officiating.

Family and friends are asked to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Special thanks to those who contributed to fundraisers for John's cancer treatments, Dr. Stanley Lobitz and staff, the Wesley Village Rehabilitation Unit and Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
