Sophia Lucidi, 83, of Dallas passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the Late Michael and Julia Shevock. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1947. Spohia was a secretary and auditor at Martz Trailways for 35 years until her retirement in 1998. She was also a treasurer with White Transit Relief Association of Wilkes-Barre, affiliated with Martz and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 401 as an office manager. She was a member of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Womens Auxiliary and a member of Irem Womens Transportation Unit. Sophia was a member of the Nanticoke Chapter 174 Order of the Eastern Star.
Sophia was preceded by her husband, Anthony, in 2002; and brothers, Ignatius and Walter Shevock; and sisters, Ann Sawka and Mary Brozena.
Surviving are her son, Tony Lucidi, Dallas.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Daniel Toomey, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Eastern Star will conduct service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
