Stephen Kosko, 47, of the East End section of Wilkes-Barre, completed his journey home Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by his family following a brief respiratory illness.

He was born June 5, 1965 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Stephen and Ann Jenkins Kosko.
A graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1983, he served in the Army as a member of the 1st Battalion, 58th Infantry. While in the Army he was stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., and Fort Benning, Ga.
Stephen enjoyed fishing, sitting on the porch talking with neighbors and those passing by and spending time with his children.
Stephen's family would like to thank the nursing staff of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital's Critical Care Unit for their care and compassion during his stay.
Surviving are his son, Stephen Kelly, Plains Township; his daughter, Sommer Kosko, Wilkes-Barre; aunts; cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
