Stephen P. Hart, 56, of Harveys Lake and formerly of Hillsborough, N.J., passed away Monday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Walter P. and Irene McCann Hart. He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1974. Stephen was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and also enjoyed NASCAR.

Preceding him in death was his step-son, Christopher Chilson.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Taylor Romeo; children, Christopher Hart and his wife, Deana, Gallatin, Tenn.; Johnathan Hart, Allentown; Tiffany Hart, Milford, N.J.; stepchildren; Daniel Chilson and his wife, Catherine, Simi Valley, Calif.; Tara McGourty and her husband, Thomas, Asbury, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Walter Hart, Andover, N.J.; Thomas Hart, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Michael Hart, Manville, N.J.; sisters; Jan Temchus, Avenel, N.J.; Judy McMahon, Newton, N.J.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 State Route 309 (Beaumont) Monroe Township. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date to be determined.

There will be no calling hours.
