I only knew Thelma for the last two years while playing organ at Prince of Peace. She was a wonderful woman and a lover of music. She always liked it when I would use the solo trumpet. Thelma had a good sense of humor and an amazing energy of life, and always spoke very highly of her family. I am I sure I will think of her often when I use her solo trumpet. We'll miss you, Thelma!

My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Thelma many years ago when her car broke down in Shavertown and my husband pushed her car off of the road. From there, we developed a good friendship. Thelma came to our house for an Easter dinner, we brought her Christmas cookies at Christmas time and we would both exchange Christmas cards. She stopped by our home to show us her new car when she purchased it. Lots of great memories that we will hold dear to our hearts! Thelma was a wonderful woman and we are better people for knowing her. Rest in peace our dear friend! I will see you again one day in Heaven!!
