Theresa M. Ulgherait Armstrong entered eternal peace on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at Mercy Center Personal Care, Dallas.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lena Ulgherait and was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School, Class of 1952.

Theresa met Michael Armstrong while working together at Planters Peanuts in Wilkes-Barre. They were married on Nov. 28, 1959, and moved to Clark, N.J.

Returning to Wilkes-Barre in 1972 to own and operate "The Glen Hideaway" for several years, Theresa then worked in the accounting office of Community Counseling Services for 21 years before retiring in 2000.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Michael Armstrong, in 2009; and brother, Joseph Ulgherait, in 2013.

Theresa will be greatly missed by her children: son, Timothy Armstrong, Maryland, and his girlfriend, Sally Walters; daughter, Teri Pace and her husband, Daniel, Dallas; and grandchildren, Anthony and Daniella Pace.

The family extends special thanks for the wonderful care provided by the third-floor staff at the Mercy Center Personal Care Unit.

A celebration of Theresa's life will be held Tuesday, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Mercy Center, 301 Lake St., Dallas. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
