Thomas Hoban, 58, formerly of Pittston and New Jersey, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 13, 2014, in the Hampton House, Wilkes-Barre, under the care of Heartland Hospice. His wife is Jackie Ardiere Hoban.

Born in Camden, N.J., he was a son of the late Charles and Frances Morgan Hoban.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6518, Exeter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nicole McCarty, Voorhees, N.J.; and Melissa Melunes, Bellmawr, N.J.; brother, Frank Hoban, Gloucester City, N.J.; stepsons, Carl Dorbad, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Jason Dorbad, Plains Township; three grandsons, Ethan, Dylan and Jason; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeremiah; and brother, Raymond.
The funeral will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith).
Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
