Lottie Barber, 94, of Luzerne passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Stella Niedjaco.

Prior to her retirement she was a floor lady at Sharmat Dress Factory, Luzerne.

Lottie was a member of Bennett Presbyterian Church, Luzerne; the International Ladies Garment Workers Union; and was very active in politics.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Felix Niedjaco and Walter Niedjaco, and sisters, Helen Bobeck, Anna Yablonski and Johanna Barber.

Surviving are her daughter, Bernice Barcheski, and son, Edward Barber, both of Luzerne; grandchildren, Walter Barcheski and wife, Ann Marie, Centermoreland; and Linda Katyl and husband, Mark, Dallas; a great-granddaughter, Renee Barcheski; sisters, Alice James and Eleanor Barber, both of Luzerne; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. James Quinn officiating. Interment will be in Orcutt's Grove Cemetery, Noxen. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
