Dorothy I. Phillips, 88, of Lehman Township, formerly of Plymouth, died Thursday morning, Oct. 11, 2012, at Mercy Center, Dallas.

She was born in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Jones Williams, and graduated in 1942 from Hanover High School.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the former First United Methodist Church of Plymouth and had been attending the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, Lehman Township. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 1, the United Methodist Women and the Rotary Anns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2005; a son, James B. Phillips Jr.; and brother, Carlton R. Williams.
She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Jane Thomas and her husband, Jay, Harveys Lake; and Rhyle Stull and her husband, Gary, Lehman; grandchildren, Joshua Thomas, Seatle, Wash.; Matthew Thomas, Harveys Lake; Gwenith Blaker and her husband, Shawn, Lehman; Jeremy Stull, Ithaca, N.Y.; Rebecca Stull and Hannah Stull, Lehman; a niece and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, with her grandson, the Rev. Joshua Thomas, officiating. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
