Lea Caroline Sassi, born Oct. 28, 2012, infant daughter of Jonathan and Kristin Prebola Sassi of Shavertown, was taken by God as an angel to heaven on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. She passed away in the arms of her mother and father at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Although Lea was only with us for a very short time, she touched the hearts of her entire family and changed their lives forever. She will always be remembered for her courage and strength.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her identical twin sister, Katelyn Rose; brothers, Jonathan Adam and Tyler Christian Sassi; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Theresa Prebola, Kingston; and paternal grandparents, John and Diane Sassi, Wilkes-Barre. In addition, surviving are her aunts, uncles and cousins, Jill and Scott Neison and son, Rocco, Thomas and Lynn Prebola and their children, Joshua and Juliette, Caroline and Dr. Stephen Miller and their sons, Stephen, Kevin and Christopher.
Lea's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and counselors at Lehigh Valley Hospital in the perinatal unit (maternal fetal specialist), and Neonatal Intensive Care for their care and support of Lea and her family.
A Mass of the Angels will be held in St. Therese's Church, Shavertown, at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
