Doris E. Ide, 74, of Hunlock Creek passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Mountain Top Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Ide was born July 1, 1938, in Tunkhannock, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mable Shoop Everetts.
Prior to retiring due to illness, she was employed as an aide for the elderly for many years.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Donald Geiger Jr., Anthony Fox Jr. and Justin Fox; brothers, Watson and Charles Everetts; and a sister, Gilberta Schooley.
Surviving are daughters, Cindy Parsons and her husband, Howard, Theresa Fox and her husband, Anthony, and Lisa Reilly and her husband, Michael, all of Hunlock Creek; son, Donald Geiger and his companion, Carolyn, Indian Trail, N.C.; sister, Jesse Jurista, Beaumont; grandchildren, Howard Jr., Janel, Kimberly, Kody, Kevin, Tracy, Michael and Dale, Katelyn, Jacob and Jennifer; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Brubaker of Roaring Brook Baptist church officiating. There will be no calling hours.
