Christopher James Ellsworth Wheeler, 32, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre and formerly of Forty Fort, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 23, 1980, the son of Jay and Margaret Murphy and Harold and Alberta Wheeler. Chris was born and raised in Forty Fort and loved fishing, flea marketing, as well as collecting action figures of all kinds.
He was preceded in death by his Nanny, Lois Bond; grandmother, Marlene Murphy; grandfather, Glen Ellsworth Sr., Pop Pop, Alfred Bond; grandfather, Leon Wheeler Sr.; grandmother, Evelyn Wheeler; niece, Precious Grace Wheeler; uncles, Howard Ellsworth Sr. and Donald Spraker, and several cousins.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Laura and his daughter, Mikayla, who was his pride and joy; grandfather, Jay Murphy Sr.; sisters, Barbara Nocher, Lockport, Ill.; Sarah Wheeler, Parsons; Desiree Wydra, Wilkes-Barre; brother, David Jay Murphy, Parsons; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Chris had many extended family members and a lot of special friends. He will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. William Lukesh, pastor of Forty Fort Presbyterian Church.
