Beverly A. Rothery, D.O., 52, of Kingston passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born March 31, 1960, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Anna Spirko Rothery of Luzerne and the late William Rothery. She was a resident of Kingston for most of her life and a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1978.

She was a graduate of Wilkes University in the Hahnemann Program, and the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, Mo.

She practiced medicine in Marietta, Ohio, running Marietta Medical Care. She returned to Kingston 12 years ago and for the past seven years was employed by the Step-by-Step Program in Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her uncle, Joseph Spirko Jr., Luzerne; and several cousins.

Private funeral services were held at Karl E. Blight Funeral Home, 392 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, followed by interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bennett Presbyterian Church, Luzerne, with the Rev. James C. Quinn officiating.
