Joseph "Doran" Matusick, 56, of Pittston passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his home.
The Guest Book is expired.
He was born Nov. 19, 1956, in Avoca, and was the son of Charles Olisewski and the late Mary Claire Doran Olisewski.
He was a former member of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, Dupont. He was a 1975 graduate of Pittston Area High School.
Known as "Joe, the rocker," Joseph was the quintessential rock and roller. He was a die-hard fan of the Rolling Stones and knew everything there was to know about the group — he could answer any question about the Stones and thoroughly enjoyed rock music from a variety of artists.
In his youth, Joe was a tremendous athlete. He was an amateur boxer and played football. He loved the outdoors, played guitar and drew with great skill and talent.
Joe was well-rounded and his life was full. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Patricia Wilk, Avoca; his brothers, Adam Olisewski, Springbrook; Michael Mayewski, Drums; his son, Jason Thomas, West Pittston; several nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
A Blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
