Marjorie E. Pembridge Evans Brown, 87, formerly of Dallas and Fort Myers, Fla., passed away Monday, April 15, 2013, in Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Chinchilla on March 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late David and Ruth Pembridge Evans.
Marjorie graduated from Dallas Borough High School, Class of 1943.
She was married to Robert W. Brown and would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2013.
Marjorie was formerly employed as a teller by Miner's National Bank, Dallas, and as a receptionist by Payne Printery, also in Dallas.
She was an active member of Dallas United Methodist Church, Dallas; and its organizations, serving as superintendent of the Sunday school program and as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Marjorie was also formerly active in both the Dallas Junior and Senior Women's Clubs.
Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Brown, Kingston; son, Dr. Robert Brown, Hilton Head, S.C.; daughter, Shirley Breymeier, Dallas; four grandchildren, Amy Saenz, Virginia; Benjamin Brown, Colorado; Daniel Breymeier, Kingston; and Matthew Breymeier, Kingston; three great-grandchildren, Alivia and Alex Brown and Trey Saenz; brother, David J. Evans, Virginia.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
