Michael Ross Blandina, 97, of Wyoming passed away in his home Friday, July 12, 2013. His wife, Claire, died December 2012.

Born April 30, 1916, Michael was the son of Vincenzo and Rose Butera Blandina of Pittston.
He left school at an early age to help support his family upon the death of his father. He became a machinist and could literally fix anything mechanical. He was one of the founders of the Wyoming/West Wyoming Little League. He owned Dixie Frocks Dress Factory for more than 25 years before getting into the apartment business in building Blandina Apartments in West Wyoming.
Michael belonged to St. Monica's Parish, West Wyoming.
Michael is survived by his three sons, (Vincent) James and his wife Gloria, Wyoming; Michael and his wife, Jan, West Wyoming; and Leonard, West Wyoming. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jaime and her husband, Jay Weinschenck, Duryea; Michael and his wife, Arienne Blandina, Raleigh, N.C.; Michelle and her husband, Justin Adams, Wyoming; Adrienne Blandina, Wyoming; and Olivia and Alexa Blandina, West Wyoming; great-grandchildren, Brady and Sophia Adams and Vincenzo Blandina; and sisters, Carmella Caprio, Connie Sabetta, Rose Sidorowicz and Vincentine (Babe) Fulmer. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Blandina, and sister, Angie Gilroy.
Funeral services are being handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
