Theresa I. Evans, 81, formerly of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

She was born in Dallas, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Cullen.
Theresa enjoyed visiting with friends on many summer evenings, sitting on her porch at the Pines at Mercy Center, Dallas. Her favorite hobby was crocheting beautiful afghans which she would then give to her family as gifts.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Evans; son, Joseph Wybieracki; grandson, David Knauff; great-granddaughter, Alexa Summers; and sister, Ann Marie Yablonski.
Theresa is survived by her children, Teddy Wybieracki (Jen), West Virginia; Theresa Musselman, Maryland; Rose Winkelman (Francie), Renovo; Cathy Summers (Jim), Maryland; Jack Wybieracki (Marge), West Virginia; JoAnn Knauff (Dave), Renovo; Debbie Lisanty (Bill), Virginia; Lisa Chapman (John), South Williamsport; and Steve Evans (Tammy), Edwardsville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Pat Gayoski, Exeter; and Dolores Musko, Plains Township; and brother, Joseph Cullen, Shavertown.
The funeral will be at 11:15 a.m. Monday from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. Interment will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
