Mary Spinosa, 82, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 7, 1931, a daughter of the late Luigi and Nicoletta DeFebo DeCinti.
Mary was formerly employed by the food service department at Wilkes College.
She was a former member of Holy Trinity Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Spinosa Sr., in 2009. She was also preceded by her brothers, James, Albert, Guido, Frederick and Mario DeCinti, and by her sisters, Priscilla Milz, Nadine Teberio, Yolanda McGroarty, Lydia Lorusso and Olga Pethick.
She is survived by her children, Mary Jo Bianco and her husband, Frank, Mechanicsburg; Joseph J. Spinosa Jr. and his companion, Michael Cooksey, Pilesgrove, N.J.; Gina Morrow and her husband, Brett, Hamden, Conn.; and Julia Deputy and her husband, Walter, East Berlin; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1000 Claremont Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
