Daniel J. Goleach, 94, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, Jan. 23, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

His beloved wife was the late Dorothy M. Graver Goleach, who passed away Aug. 19, 1991.
Born Oct. 1, 1919, in Swoyersville, Daniel was the son of the late John Goliash and Elizabeth Tressa Goliash.
A life resident of Swoyersville, Daniel attended the former Swoyersville High School.
Prior to his retirement, Daniel was employed as a machinist by James Eagen Sons Co., Wyoming. Additionally, he was employed for some time by Knarr Corp., Wilkes-Barre.
In his younger years, Daniel enjoyed hopping trains with his friends and traveling all over the country. One of his favorite travel destinations was California.
Daniel was an avid reader and had a passion for reading novels by his favorite author, John Steinbeck.
In addition to his parents, John and Elizabeth Goliash, and his wife, Dorothy, Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Daniel is survived by his children, John Goleach, Plains Township; Daniel Goleach, Powell, Tenn.; and Catherine Williams, Swoyersville; his grandchildren, Kelly Allard, Shickshinny; and Daniel Goleach III, Kingston; his four great-grandchildren; and his nieces.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. A private interment will take place in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
