Thomas J. O'Malley, 68, of Peckville died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Hospice Community Care after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife of 42 years is Nancy Puza O'Malley.

Born in Jermyn, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Mary Kulina O'Malley. He graduated from the former West Side Central Catholic High School in Kingston and Wilkes-Barre Business College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969.
He later furthered his education at the University of Baltimore. He worked at Eberhard Faber Inc., and later at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. He resided the majority of his life in Kingston and recently moved to Peckville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tracy O'Malley, Kingston; and Carrie Griffiths and husband, Clint, Peckville; three grandchildren, Collin, Trevor and Ryan Griffiths.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home Tuesday.
