E. Fern Rogers, 95, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.

Born in Dallas, she lived most of her life in Lehman Township. She was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Florence Siegel Howell.
Fern graduated from Lehman High School and worked as postmaster in the Lehman Post Office for many years.
Fern was a member of Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Lady Rebekah Lodge.
Preceding her in death were her husband, George Lawrence Rogers, in 1986; sisters, Jean McCulloch Major and Shirley Rood; and son, Jon H. Rogers.
Surviving are her sons, George L. Jr., Tunkhannock; and Thomas Rogers, Falls; daughters, Karen Perrego, Clearwater, Fla.; and Dianne Ralston, Orefield; daughter-in-law, Robin Rogers, Lehman; brother, Harry M. Howell, Nescopeck; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Paul Ryder, pastor, Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Burial Park.
