Elmer C. Weaver, 71, of Larksville passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, Feb. 7, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

He was born Aug. 13, 1942, the son of the late Eugene and Viola Sites Weaver. He was a life resident of Plymouth and Larksville.
He attended Lake-Lehman High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Panama. He retired from the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in 2010. He was most recently employed by Xanitos.
Elmer was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Shepherd, in 2004; and great-granddaughter, Antonnette Marie Marcario, in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Lois Morgan Evanoski; and son, Elmer and wife, Carolyn, Plymouth Township; stepchildren, Deborah Wilson, Florida; James J. Evanoski, Jr. and wife, Joanne, Philadelphia; Cathy Spak and husband, Thomas, Wyoming; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, William and Eugene Weaver, Plymouth; and sisters, Rita Romanco, Effort; Arline Gensel, Spring Brook Township.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Ronald Cease officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
