Michael J. Fedor, 57, of Wilkes-Barre, and formerly of West Pittston, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, 2014, at the inpatient unit of Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in West Pittston, he was the son of Michael J. and Bernadine Wargo Fedor of Kingston.
Michael was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1974, and Luzerne County Community College with an associate's degree in business and pharmacy tech certificate.
Michael was employed by Pride Mobility as a tech/controller and last worked for Caremark of Hanover Township as a pharmacy tech. He was formerly a volunteer for West Pittston Fire Company, Fire House No. 1, and also served as a paramedic.
Michael was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township, and loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anna and John Wargo; paternal grandparents, Michael and Helen Fedor Bonchonsky; and nephew, Zachary Lopian.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, Michael and Bernadine Fedor, are his wife, the former Mary Cordaro, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Dianne Lopian and husband, Kenneth, Mendham, N.J.; stepson, Frank Cordaro, Wilkes-Barre; stepdaughter, Mari Stolten, Bangor; and nephewm Kenneth Lopian, Mendham, N.J.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
