Joseph G. Letteer Sr., 77, of Plymouth passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Riverstreet Manor.

He was born Feb. 23, 1936, and was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Letteer.
Joseph was a Korean War veteran and was formerly employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot as a sheet metal fabricator, and was also formerly a Plymouth police officer.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Plymouth, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1425, and the Korean War Veterans Association in Edwardsville.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Marie Letteer Jones; brothers, Ernest Letteer, Frank Zipay and Leonard Zipay; grandchildren, James Joseph Letteer, Lee Matthew Smith and Brenda Sims.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Alden Letteer, who would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on Valentine's Day; children, Joseph Jr. and wife, Nancy, Plymouth; Karen Ayers and husband, Kevin, David Letteer, Nanticoke; Richard and Lisa, Dallas; Roland and Bernice, Plymouth; and Keith Mutchler and wife, Sarah, Kingston; sister, Roxanne Peterson, Larksville; brother, Thomas Letteer, Plains Township; 20 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. David Quisenberry officiating. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to service time.
