Charles A. Vanderhoff, 65, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at his residence.

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Arlington and Esther Parsons Vanderhoff. He was a 1966 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and a 1988 graduate of College Misericordia, with degrees in math and computer science.
Charles was a member of Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, a member and past master of George M. Dallas Masonic Lodge 531 and a member of Dallas Chapter 396 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former member of the Caldwell Consistory and Irem Shrine.
He was preceded in death by and infant sister, Nancy Rea.
Surviving are his wife, the former Cheryl Dietz; sisters, Lois Williams Ide and her husband, Willis, Sweet Valley; and Janet Canouse and her husband, Keith, Orlando, Fla.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held from Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Robert Ryder officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the SPCA, Fox Hill Road, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
