Betty Jean Anistranski, 81, of Hanover Township passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Her husband of 57 years is Joseph Anistranski.

Betty Jean was born March 7, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Anthony and Laura Santi Graziano.

She was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1950, and also the Wilkes-Barre Business College. She had a long time career with Susquehanna Savings and Loan and Atlantic Financial. She also was employed for a year in the dental office of Dr. Wayne Dombroski.

She was a member of St. Robert Bellarnime Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Betty Jean was a diehard Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fan.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Joseph, are her children, Dr. Elizabeth L. Anistranski-Keller and her husband Sean Keller; Dr. Joseph A. Anistranski and his wife, Maureen; sister, Patricia Krzyzewski, Maine, N.Y.; proud grandchildren, Joseph A. Jr., Jarrett R., John P. and Maura R. Anistranski and Blake A. and Brandon A. Keller; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 8 a.m. Tuesday in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Vincent Dang as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call 7:45 a.m. to service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, Fox Hill Road, Plains Township.
