Regina (Jean) Bukofski, 86, of Alden Station, Newport Township, passed away Monday morning, March 24, 2014, at Birchwood Nursing Center.

Born in Alden Station, Newport Township, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Martha Klinitski Broski. She would have celebrated her 87th birthday on Friday, March 28, 2014.
She was a graduate of Newport Township High School, Class of 1945, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 350 in Nanticoke, and was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Social Security Administration, Wilkes-Barre.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sister, Helen Klinger; and brother, Leonard Broski.
Surviving are her children, Sandra Booth and husband, Greg, Waterville, Ohio; Joseph and wife, Anne, Lakewood, Colo.; Walter and wife, Denise, Alden; and Ann Bedosky and husband, Steve, Mountain Top; grandchildren, Lisa Horchler and husband, Todd; Rebecca Beck and husband, Nick; Brian Booth and wife, Megan; Nicholas Bukofski and wife, Daisy; Beth Ann Eddy and husband, Justin; and Ekcho Bedosky; great-grandchildren, Jacob Horchler, Emma Horchler, Connor Booth, Natalie Booth, Jackson Beck, Nicholas Bukofski, Brandon Bukofski, Zachary Davies, Justin Eddy and Hunter Bedosky; godchild, Shirley Jones Shamun; sister, Irene Kasenchak, Shavertown; brother, Walter Broski and wife, Irene, Sterling Heights, Mich.; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Faustina Parish, alternate site, 1030 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. The Rev. Brian Van Fossen will be the celebrant. There will be no calling hours. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church.
