Leonard M. Bielski, 75, a tenant at the Kingston Health Care Facility, and a former resident of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Leonard was born Jan. 13, 1939, in Plains Township. He was the only child to his late parents, Ignatz J. and Tekla K. Mroz Bielski. Leonard grew up in the Plains Township area and attended local schools.
After graduating high school, Leonard joined the U.S. Navy. He served as a fireman apprentice until his honorable discharge.
Returning back home, Leonard found employment as a shipping clerk with the Dental Co., Wilkes-Barre. Leonard was employed for 20-plus years until his retirement.
In his later years, Leonard enjoyed traveling our country.
He was a past member of St. Joseph Church, until the church's closure.
Leonard is survived by cousins and extended family who cared for him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township. Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. John Boyle. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plains Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Luzerne Foundation, 140 Main St., Luzerne, PA 18709.
