Joseph S. Petrosky, 53, of Elmwood Drive, Laflin, formerly of Sharpe Street, Kingston, died Monday, March 31, 2014, suddenly at his home.

Joseph was born in Kingston on Aug. 16, 1960, the son of Joseph S. Petrosky Sr. and Patricia Petrosky.

He was a graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School and later graduated magna cum laude from Luzerne County Community College in 1997.

Joseph was employed by Schott Optical, Commonwealth Communications and was a security guard at the Social Security Building.

He enjoyed singing and playing his guitars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Joseph loved being up at the family cottage in Terry Town just fishing with his loving wife, Suzanne, family and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stanley Petrosky.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Bell Petrosky, of 25 years. Joseph and Suzanne were the love of each others' lives.

He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Petrosky, Kingston; sisters, Michele Petrosky Witt and Casandra Petrosky Dwyer; brothers-in-law, Paul Bachman, Arlington, Va.; and Bruce Bell and his wife, JoAnne, Laflin; mother-in-law, Josephine Bell, Laflin; nieces, Jasmin McClary, Kingston; Jessica Witt Hunter, Swoyersville; Melody Witt, Kingston; and Adria Dwyer, Kingston; nephews, Jeremy Witt, Kingston; Jalen McClary, Kingston; Travis Bell, Laflin; and Tyler Bell, Philadelphia.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. The interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
