Alexander Steckman, 88, of Hanover Township passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.

Born Feb. 24, 1926, in Larksville, he was the son of the late George and Agnes Adamcyzk (Steckman) Stochmal.
He attended Plymouth High School and was a member of All Saints Parish, the former St. Stephen's Church, Plymouth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II, in the European Theater.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Kingston Juvenile Products for eight years. Prior to this, he was employed by Acme Store Bakery for 32 years.
Throughout his life, he was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and greatly enjoyed antique cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, John, Chester, Benjamin and George, and sisters, Genevieve (Jennie) Lucy, Mary, Celia and Julia.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, the former Rita Tkach; children, Christine Parks and her husband, Walter, Lee Park, Hanover Township; and David Steckman, at home; granddaughters, Elizabeth Parks McCabe and her husband, James, Jacksonville, Ill.; and Emily Parks, Ashley, Hanover Township; great-granddaughter, Olivia Rae Samson; numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth.
Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Lehman.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
