Ross J. Sciandra of Pittston passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was the husband of Lucy Krukowski Sciandra.

Born March 5, 1932, in Pittston, he was a son of the late Ross Sciandra and Rose DelRegno Sciandra. He was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1950, and a graduate of Johnson Technical Institute.
Ross was employed by InterMetro as a mechanic for more than 25 years.
He was a proud member of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean conflict.
He was a member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church Fides Club and the InterMetro Retirees.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughters, Lucyann Sciandra, Jenkins; and Maria Sciandra, Pittston; brothers, Charles Sciandra and Joseph Sciandra; and sisters, Rosemary Porzucek and Ann Marie Sciandra.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brothers, Anthony Sciandra and James Sciandra.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.
Viewing hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services with military honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard will begin at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday. Those who plan on attending should be at the funeral home no later than 10:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Marello Parish at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Joseph Sibilano, O.S.J., will officiate.
Interment services with military honors will be held in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Township.
