Louise Mae Casterline, 82, of Sweet Valley passed away Friday morning, April 11, 2014, at her home while under the loving care of her family and assisted by Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

Born in Broadway, Pa., on March 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Vida Long Post.
Louise enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family and working outdoors in her lawn and garden. She spent her life dedicated to helping her family and friends. She was known for being a hard worker and a servant to her community helping others in their time of need.
Louise was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Theodore H. Casterline, a brother, Howard E. Post, and a sister, Dorothy M. Post.
She is survived by her sons, Allan and wife, Debbie Casterline, Bloomingdale; and Don and Shari Casterline, Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Kyle Allan currently attending Penn State University; Sara Lynn currently attending Misericordia University; and Laura Louise currently attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and step-granddaughter, Marissa Cragle, Dallas.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Purdy, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery.
