Michael Dobish, 90, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Monday, April 14, 2014.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 20, 1923 the son of the late Charles and Mary Peresta Dobish. Michael graduated from GAR High School, Class of 1941, and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was formerly employed by TWA, Maxon Electronics and letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years.
Mike's warm personality and ever-present great sense of humor were his trademarks which endeared him to all who knew and loved him.
He will be forever missed by friends and family.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Betty Fosko Dobish; sons, Dr. Michael Dobish wife, Jane Ann, York; Dr. Mark Dobish wife, Barbara, Chambersburg; daughter, Karen Thompson husband, Robert, Westborough, Mass.; grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Mark, Lauren, and Bobby; great-grandchildren, Sarika, Caroline, Diana, Ned and Hadley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Church, Bear Creek. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.
