Joseph J. Rokitko, 51, of Mountain Top entered into eternal rest surrounded by family on Monday, April 14, 2014, at his home.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, on July 26, 1962, son of the late John and Rita (Belanchik) Rokitko. Joseph graduated from Crestwood High School and studied at Pennsylvania State University. He was employed most recently by Pride Mobility, Dunmore.

Joseph is survived by his sisters. Rita Kania, Ann Rokitko, Christine Rokitko, Reginia Rokitko, all of Mountain Top; and Mary and husband, Phillip Young, Hagerstown Md.; brothers, John Rokitko, Michael and wife, Judy Rokitko, both of Ashley; Edward Rokitko, Mountain Top; and Adam Rokitko, Charlotte, N.C. Joseph is survived by 10 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, from Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Dorrance, with the Rev. Gerald W. Shantillo officiating. His final resting place will be in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top. Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the funeral home.
