Mildred Carrol Fitch, 67, of Covington Township died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Scranton.

Born in Avoca, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie Holl Nelson.

Mildred worked at Maid Rite Steak Co. in Dunmore for more than 20 years and, prior to retiring, worked at the Barrel Restaurant in Spring Brook Township.

She was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church and a life member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital.

Mildred loved bingo, enjoyed going to the casino with her sister, Helen, but most importantly treasured the time that she was able to spend with her family, especially her great-grandson, Blake Taylor, who was her everything.

Fitch, Covington Township; and her many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Fitch; her brother, Bobbie Nelson; and her sisters, Sally May and Sandra Testa.

The family would like to thank the first floor nursing staff at Golden Living Scranton and the staff at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center for the excellent care provided to Mildred.
