David James Wheeler, 32, of Fairmount Township passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Scranton, he was the beloved son of Ruth Frey, Fairmount Township, and Robert Manley, Old Forge.
Dave was a 2000 graduate of Abington Heights High School. He loved his daughters, music, playing his guitar, video games and art. He was a giant Teddy bear with a huge heart. He was loved by family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters, Kayleigh Wheeler, West Pittston; and Shayann Wheeler, Nanticoke; brother, Robert Ball, Fairmount Township; sister, Brooke Manley, Old Forge; stepparents, Josh Frey, Fairmount Township; Shelly Manley, Old Forge; grandparents, Dave and Diane Wheeler, Newton; Patricia Burke, Scranton; Geraldine and Brian Phillips, Montdale; uncles, Jim Manley, Scranton; Cy Manley, Pittston; Jeff Ball and John Ball, Jermyn; Corey Wheeler, S. Gibson, David Wheeler, Morris, George Wheeler, Newton; aunts, Maggie Wheeler, Newton; Jolene Wadding, Sommerset; Casey Baker, Mehoopany; Ann Marie Leonard, Scranton; Mary Lou Stone, Scranton; Candis Topa, Old Forge; nephews, Robert Ball, Justin Ball and Jonathan Cobb, all of Fairmount Township; a large extended group of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ruth Ann Wheeler and Robert Burke.
Memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
