Joseph R. Stoshick of Dupont, formerly of Luzerne, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Frances Warunek Stoshick.

Born June 5, 1939, in Luzerne, he was a son of the late Joseph Stoshick and Natalie Stoshick.

Joe was the president of the Hawk Rod & Gun Club for more than 30 years.

He worked for Addy Asphalt and Kaminski Brothers/Coolbaugh Sand & Stone.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and skeet shooter. His grandchildren were the joys of his life.

Surviving are his sons David and wife, Michele Stoshick, and Robert and wife, Tina Stoshick; grandchildren, David, Matthew and Megan Stoshick; and brother, Bernard Stoshick, Kingston.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff of Golden Living Center, Wilkes-Barre, for their excellent care.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township,

Viewing hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Those who plan on attending should be at the funeral home no later than 9 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Dupont, at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Joseph Verespy will officiate.

Interment services will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dupont.
