Thomas (Spud) Vnuk, 59, of 16 Orchard St., Glen Lyon, passed away Sunday morning, May 18, 2014, peacefully in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 23, 1956, the son of the late Alfred and Frances Vnuk.
Thomas served his country in the National Guard in 1985 and was honorably discharged after two terms.
He worked most of his short life at Leslie Fay as a forklift operator.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Coombs, and close companion, Albert Shybloski.
Thomas is survived by close companions, David and Donna Shybloski; cousins, Frank and Donnie; and friends, David Jr. and Lora and Justin.
He was an active member of the American Italian Club, Glen Lyon; the American Legion, Glen Lyon; and the Nanticoke Quoit Club. He enjoyed farming, gardening and socializing with his many friends in the town of Glen Lyon and his pets, Rocky, Kane and Diesel.
Private funeral services were held from Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke.
