Anna Castellino, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived her life for her family, passed away peacefully with her children by her side into the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.

Anna, who lived most of her life in Pittston, was 97.

Anna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Tina Castellino, Mountain Top; her daughter and son-in-law, Nora and Paul Devine, Yatesville; her five granddaughters, Laurie Devine, Jennifer De Frees, Heather Castellino, Rebecca Schwartz and Mandy Housenick; seven great-grandchildren, Nico, Luca and Dante Schwartz, Samantha Conway, Adam Sribney, Cecelia Devine and Mason De Frees; her sister, Rose Reilly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna, who was born in Yatesville, was the oldest child of eight children to the now-deceased Florence (Barba) and John Morreale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bernard Castellino, three brothers and three sisters.

Until 1986, Bernie and Anna owned The Suburban Shop in West Pittston, where Anna dazzled her customers for years with her talents as a seamstress, often taking on sewing jobs few others could tackle.

Anna's happiness shined through when she whistled tunes or sang songs while she enticed guests with her delicious Italian meals or was enjoying a visit from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We will cherish our loving memories forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anna's name to St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston, PA 18640.
