Roy Steven Howey, 41, of Sambourne Street, South Wilkes-Barre, passed into eternal life Sunday evening, May 18, 2014, in St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem Campus.

Born Oct. 25, 1972 in Scranton, he was the youngest of 13 children to the late Wallace and Gloria Howey.
He was educated and graduated from the Scranton School District.
Roy was employed as a truck driver with the J.B. Hunt Company of Pittston, and previously for the Swift Trucking Company of Mountain Top.
He is remembered by those who knew and loved him for being a "home body" when he wasn't working, who kept his family as the focal point in his life. Roy also loved his motorcycle rides with Marissa and his dear friends.
He and his wife, the former Sara E. Walters would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary next month on June 30.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Sara, at home, are their children, Elizabeth, Calieb and Marissa Howey, all at home; several brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of Roy's family.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join his wife and family at a memorial gathering of remembrance which will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre Heights location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 281 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre.
