Jean H. Rydzewski, 76, of Kingston passed away Saturday morning at The Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Louis and Helen Brown Volker. She attended Kingston schools, and prior to her retirement she worked as a waitress in area restaurants. She was a member of Luzerne United Methodist Church.
Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother who brought as much joy to her children's lives as they did hers. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, generosity, sassy style and larger than life personality.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel whom she missed dearly and a sister, Marion Saitta.
She is survived by a daughter, Heidi Domzalski and husband, Edward, Shavertown; granddaughters, Kara and Lauren, who were the light of her life; a sister, Edna Disano, Mays Landing, New Jersey; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with the Rev. Carol Coleman, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
